I work with very old tools from a retired hatter, which reminds me to take my time on each piece I make.

Kalyn Ishikawa is an argentine industrial designer with japanese roots. Her passion for design started while working in the workshop of her family’s artisanal leather shoe business. She fell in love with the craftsmanship, design and curation of high end accessories for women and men. After a few years traveling the world Kalyn found her calling when she discovered the art of hat making. There was something in the beauty of the materials and the way a hat can change the way a person feels about themselves that hooked her straight away. Once settled in Spain, she decided to immerse herself in learning different techniques, craftmanship and history that this fascinating craft had to offer. You can find Kalyn in her welcoming studio in Barcelona where she spends her time creating unique pieces for her clients and friends and giving workshops to spread the passion and care for this millennial craftsmanship.
